There are moments in life when everything seems to be going wrong, even when you have done nothing wrong. You try your best, you stay faithful, you help others, but trouble still finds you. That is exactly what happened to Joseph.
Joseph was a young man with a dream. God had shown him that his life had a greater purpose, but before that dream came true, he had to walk through a very painful road. His own brothers became jealous of him. Instead of protecting him, they betrayed him and sold him into slavery.
Imagine how Joseph must have felt. One day, he was at home with his family, and the next day, he was being taken away to a strange land. He lost his comfort, his home, and the people he loved. But even in that dark season, God had not left him.
Joseph worked hard in Egypt, but then another problem came. He was falsely accused and thrown into prison. It looked like his life was falling apart again. Yet Joseph did not give up. He kept his heart faithful. He served others, even while he was waiting for his own breakthrough.
Then, at the right time, God opened a door no man could shut. Joseph was called from prison to stand before Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. God gave him wisdom to interpret Pharaoh’s dream, and in one day, Joseph moved from prison to the palace.
The same man who was rejected became a leader. The same man who was forgotten became a solution. The same pain that tried to destroy him became the path God used to lift him.
Later, when Joseph met his brothers again, he did not speak with bitterness. He understood that God had been working through everything. He told them:
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.”
Genesis 50:20
Joseph’s story teaches us that delay is not denial, rejection is not the end, and pain does not mean God has forgotten you. Sometimes God is building your strength in hidden places before He reveals your purpose in public.
Your situation may not make sense right now, but God can still use it. The tears, the waiting, the disappointment, and the closed doors can all become part of a greater testimony.
Keep your faith alive. Keep doing what is right. Keep trusting God in the middle of the process. What was meant to break you may become the very thing God uses to bless you.
